Review Alert! Check out this review from 'Aiding and Abetting', which has a great collection of archived album reviews dating all the way back to the early nineties! This one is written by Jon Worley. Here's a snippet, drop over to the page to see the whole thing!

The vague haze that wafts through GrandEvolution's songs probably leads a few to toss this band into the shoegaze bin. In truth, GrandEvolution has a lot more to do with the anthemic power pop bands of the late 90s (Luna being one of the most prominent and probably most solid comps, given that band's previous incarnation as one of the seminal shoegaze bands). Also, this trio has been bashing around the northeast for a few years.
This is the band's seventh full-length album, and the...

Wow, we got another GREAT review by our good friend Victor Infante over at Worcester Magazine! Make sure you head over there and check it out! Here's just part of the review:

“Glow”, the latest album from Worcester indie rock ensemble GrandEvolution, is a study in disappearing and invisibility: People leave, people vanish right in front of you, strangers touch your life without even knowing, people clamor to be seen. The band — which comprises vocalist and rhythm guitarist Sarah Kenyon, drummer Scott Kenyon and bassist Greg Bromberg along with numerous guest musicians — creates a lush soundscape, one which well-suits the ephemeral nature of the songs' subject matter.

The album opens with the plaintive “Finding Beauty,” a song that finds the album's persona in isolation: “It’s tough when you can’t love,” sings Sarah Kenyon, “All you have for the longest time/Finding beauty in the darkest moments.” It's unclear whether it's the persona herself who can't love, or someone else, but nonetheless, this is precisely what the album proceeds to do: Peer into shadows to find something beautiful, even if the odds of that seem unlikely.

Sarah Kenyon is an interesting singer, with a vocal styling that's articulate and expressive, but also a little ethereal, which she harnesses to great effect....

Top ten list from Indie Rock Cafe!! Sounds like they dig 'Shattered'!

Based in the mid-Commonwealth city of Worcester, the Massachusetts indie rock/pop band GrandEvolution recently dropped the softly melodic single “Shattered,” and it certainly got our attention for the composing and producing of a dream-pop-leaning single that harkens back to the days of post-punk pop. A well-toured band before the pandemic, GrandEvolution spent most of last year writing and working on songs for the new album Glow. “Shattered,” according to guitarist and vocalist Sarah Kenyon is “about suddenly losing your biggest supporter and feeling hopeless and empty.” In the past, the band has opened for artists such as Soul Asylum, Kay Hanley, Tantric, and Smile Empty Soul. The trio’s biggest musical influences include The Cranberries, The Jayhawks, Butch Walker, Muse, and Radiohead. The other obviously talented band members are drummer Scott Kenyon and bassist Gregory Bromberg.

New review posted! This one is from Bravado Press, and here is the GE part where they reviewed our latest single, 'Wish':

GrandEvolution – “Wish”: In late August, the New England rock outfit dropped a vid for this raucous tune from their full-length Glow. The song hits on key points making it worthy of getting play on terrestrial and Internet radio. Sarah Kenyon’s marvelous vocals are a match for the gritty guitars, booming bass, and dynamic drum play. The style of “Wish” crosses over several decades, with elements of 70s classic rock and 90s alternative fused together to create something unique and jamming. There is also a video for “Wish” that is certainly worth viewing as it does a terrific job in showing the band in action. The trio is a veteran group of musicians who are making the music they want on their terms and the hard work is paying off. Glow has more than trippy rock tracks reminiscent of yesteryear as the title track, “Stranger”, and “Pipe Dream”, plus others are worth checking out.
